Information has been revealed all at once relating to hitmaker and director Junichi Sato’s first original work in 10 years, the action-packed anime Zetsumetsu Kigu Shōjo Amazing Twins. On Nov. 24 at the event Ametsui Sugoi Magic Show, new information was announced in quick succession just like magic.
First is the announcement of Aya Uchida and Satomi Sato as part of the main cast. Uchida will be voicing the main character Amane Toroki and Sato will be voicing her twin sister Lilianne who coexists in Amane’s body. The two appeared as surprise guests at the magic show when they magically appeared from an empty tent.
In addition to these two, the cast also includes Nao Tōyama, Yumi Kakazu, Susumu Chiba, Sayaka Ōhara, Ryō HIrohashi, Hiro Shimono, Miyu Matsuki, Yūko Gibu, Ai Kayano, Haruka Chisuga, and Megumi Ogata. This diverse cast spans leading figures in the world of seiyū and newcomers alike.
Singing the opening and ending themes is the Grand Prix winner of the Miss Macross 30 Contest, Haruka Chizuka. The opening song shares the same title as the anime, “Zetsumetsu Kigu Shōjo!,” and the title for the ending song has not yet been announced. Furthermore, “Zetsumetsu Kigu Shōjo!” can now be heard in the second PV for the anime, which released on Nov. 25. Take a listen to this song while watching the PV full of exciting scenes.
The keyword for Zetsumetsu Kigu Shōjo Amazing Twins is “magic.” The anime will span two OVAs. In addition to Sato as director, other members of the staff include Mari Okada of Anohana fame who is writing the script and collaborating on the story and Takehito Harada of Disgaea fame who is creating the original character designs. Creators who are all uniquely different are being brought together for the staff.
The first OVA will release on Feb. 26, 2014 and the second on March 26. A screening event for the first episode will take place on Dec. 29, 2013 at Tsukiji Togeki in Tokyo. Beginning at 10:30 p.m. on the same day, the first episode will also broadcast on AT-X. From here on, this work will broaden all at once.
