Capcom’s Nintendo 3DS game Monster Hunter 4 will be released on Sept. 14 in Japan.
The game is the first in the series to implement 3D action by use of the Nintendo 3DS’ height and depth differences. It will also include multiplayer via internet connection, so players will be able to play cooperatively with friends throughout the nation.
Two special edition Nintendo 3DS XLs have also been revealed. Fans can choose between the “Goa Magara Black” or “Airu White” versions. Also, a Monster Hunter 4 limited set has been announced. Fans can pick up both a copy of Monster Hunter 4 and one of the special edition Nintendo 3DS XLs on launch day to enjoy together.
There are also many other collaborative products that will be sold, including a second version of Monster Hunter glasses by the glasses brand Alook. The glasses are modeled after the main monster of Monster Hunter 4, Goa Magara.
UHA Mikakuto is introducing Monster Hunter themed gummy snack packs which feature gummies that look like meat and taste like an energy drink. Furthermore, “Ninja Food” and collaborative “Hunter Food” hard gummies will be sold. The hard gummies are themed after health items in the game and taste like a honey-flavored energy drink. Fans can start snacking on Aug. 19 when these gummies release.
Also announced is that Shibu Onsen in Nagano will be carrying out a special project for visitors starting on July 27 that will span one year. The area will become a realistic “Monster Hunter Shibu Village.” Limited time projects will be held during summer, winter, and spring break. Special favor lodging is planned, a comrade Airu statute will be established, and collaborative souvenirs will be sold.
