Artist Chosen for “Monogatari” Second Season Theme Song

Nisio Isin is a novelist who creates peculiar worlds filled with poisonously witty dialogue and greatly unique characters.

The second season of Monogatari, an anime adaptation of his popular series of the same name, will begin in July. “Ai wo Utau” by singer Luna Haruna has been chosen as the ending theme. Producer Jin (Shizen no Teki-P) is in charge of the song.

In May of 2012, Luna Haruna debuted as a singer with the song “Sora wa Takaku Kaze wa Utau.” The song was used as the second ending for the anime Fate/Zero and became popular among fans. Jin is a familiar Vocaloid music producer on Nico Nico Douga. His videos including and related to “Heat-Haze Days” have been viewed over 20 million times. He is a multi-talented artist who doesn’t only create videos and music, but also writes fiction.

Including the song, once again the first season’s staff will be working together and are aiming to produce an even high quality anime. Therefore, fans can looks forward to this new season. The latest published installment in the Monogatari series, Koyomi Monogatari, released on May 22, and a full-color postcard set of 12 illustrations from the work is also planned to release this month.
