On March 7, 2013, Just before Miku Day (03/09), Domino’s Pizza Japan released the “Domino’s App Feat. Hatsune Miku”, a collaborative effort between their pizza ordering app “Domino’s App” and Hatsune Miku. We wonder how the idea for this duo came about.

As a matter of fact, the whole Domino’s Pizza Japan crew took up the challenge to work on a special project with no relation to their day jobs; They were asked to make an original Vocaloid song. Crypton Future Media took notice of their enthusiasm, and with an official offer from them, this project began. The features of the Domino’s App are fully decked out with Hatsune Miku designs that revitalize the entire app.

Furthermore, when a pizza is ordered through the app, it will be delivered in a special Hatsune Miku box. Aside from the box just looking cute, it has quite a nifty feature. By using a function on the app, and the wonder of AR technology, the box is transformed into an live stage for Miku. If that’s not cool enough, there is even a one-of-a-kind Hatsune Miku Ita-delivery bike that delivers pizza throughout the Tokyo metropolitan area! If you’re lucky enough, you will get a pizza in a Miku box delivered by a nice crew member on the Miku Ita-delivery bike. It’s certainly going to be a pizza night for Miku fans!
