Brrr! Things are still chilly in Tokyo, but we’re pretty happy to be in the middle of our second long weekend this year! Yesterday (February 11) was National Foundation Day, which celebrates - as you can guess - the foundation of Japan. There’s a lot of history behind it, but you don’t tend to see regular people doing anything in particular to celebrate it, as opposed to last month’s Coming of Age Day, where new adults gather for ceremonies.
