Hi hi hi! Have anything planned for this weekend? Not to brag (is this even brag-worthy material?), but we only had four official working days this week, thanks to Japan’s Coming of Age Day. We’re guessing that a lot of you officially became, or will become adults at 18 or 21, but in Japan, it’s actually 20.
At the coming of age ceremonies, girls usually dress up in special kimono called furisode, while the guys… well, they tend to wear suits, but we always appreciate good men’s kimonos too! It’s also a nice chance for these new adults to catch up with old friends and just have a great time - and isn’t that the most important part?
