Saiyuki Reload -ZEROIN- to Air From January 6!

Upcoming adventure anime Saiyuki Reload -ZEROIN- has announced its January 6 premiere date!

Two new promo videos have been revealed, with the latter focusing on protagonist Genjyo Sanzo.

Adapted from Kazuya Minekura's manga series, Saiyuki is a retelling of classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. The series follows monk Genjyo Sanzo, monkey king Son Goku, half-demon Sha Gojyo, and former human Cho Hakkai, who embark on a quest to India to stop the resurrection of Ox-Demon-King Gyumaoh.

Based on the popular “Even a Worm” arc, Saiyuki Reload -ZEROIN- is the franchise's fifth TV anime series. Other adaptations in its near 25-year history include OVAs, theatrical movies, musicals and more.

Saiyuki Reload -ZEROIN- airs from January 6, 2022.
