Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the latest installment in the Pokémon franchise, has released a creepy found footage-style teaser video!
The video's description presents it as "mysterious footage that appears to document the landscape of the Hisui region." Shot with an old-fashioned VHS aesthetic complete with broken video and audio, it features a researcher attempting to catalogue local Pokémon before something terrible befalls him and the footage cuts out. Viewers are encouraged to scour the clip for clues and report back with their findings.
Set in the distant past of the Sinnoh region, when it was known as Hisui, Pokémon Legends: Arceus serves as a prequel to 2006’s Diamond and Pearl.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be released for the Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2022.
