Free! Announces New Movie to Open in 2021!

Popular swimming anime Free! is set to head back to the big screen in 2021 with a new story!

The new movie was announced at the "Free! Series Orchestra Concert 2020" event, which took place at Pacifico Yokohama on Aug. 15. A teaser visual and trailer was also released to commemorate the big news.

Inspired by Oji Kouji’s light novel series High Speed, Free! follows the everyday lives of a group of boys who revive their high school's swimming club. Kyoto Animation's anime adaptation began in 2013 with a TV anime series. In addition to three seasons, five movies have been released.
