Sword Art Online spin-off Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online begins broadcasting this April and has just released the key visual for the upcoming TV anime.
Based on the light novel by Kino’s Journey creator Sigsawa Keiichi and illustrator Kuroboshi Kouhaku, Alternative Gun Gale Online is inspired by the Phantom Bullet arc of the original series and focusses on the world of online game Gun Gale Online.
The TV anime adaptation was announced at Dengeki Bunko’s Autumn Festival and has already confirmed Hikasa Yoko (Pitohui), Kusunoki Tomori (Kohiruimaki Karen), Okitsu Kazuyuki (Asougi Goushi), and Akasaki Chinatsu (Shinohara Miyu) as part of the cast.
Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online will air on Tokyo MX, BS11, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, MBS, and TV Aichi from Apr. 2018.
