Popular anime Love Live! Sunshine!! follows 9 young girls pursuing their dreams of being school idols. The 1st season of the anime aired between July and September in 2016, and the 2nd season will finally be airing this October.
The Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours 2nd LoveLive! HAPPY PARTY TRAIN TOUR event is also currently underway, making fans even more excited for what’s to come!
This new Love Live! project first began on Feb. 26, 2016. Details were released in both the June 2015 issue of Dengeki G’s magazine 2015 and on the official Love Live! site on Apr. 30.
The series is set in a girls’ high school on the coast of Uchiura, Numazu, and it follows 9 girls who become school idols including the 2nd year student Takami Chika in order to save their school, growing through their journey towards achieving this dream.
A new PV featuring the girls was also released along with this announcement, and it gives a nice idea of what we get to look forward to! The cast and staff from the 1st season will also be making their returns.
What will become of the girls in this new season? We’ll just have to wait and see!
