Hozuki no Reitetsu ( Hozuki's Coolheadedness ) is a hit series currently serialized in Morning, with more than 10,000,000 copies printed. The 2nd season of its anime adaptation is also set to air in October, and a key visual and video with details have also been released including news about the themes! Jigoku no Sata All Stars will once again be performing the opening theme, and there'll be a collaboration with part-time job app LINEBaito.
The series is set in hell, which naturally is full of the dead. Among them is the protagonist is Hozuki, the first aid of the judge of the afterlife, and he’s kept busy with the dead, hell’s tormenting devils, and inspecting the world.
Yasumoto Hiroki plays Hozuki, in addition to the other incredible cast members including Nagasako Takashi, Kobayashi Yumiko, Goto Hiroki, Matsuyama Takashi, Kitamura Eri, Aoyama Toko, Kakihara Tetsuya, Tanezaki Atsumi, Uesaka Sumire, Hirakawa Daisuke, Yusa Koji, Sato Satomi, Ogura Yui, and Suwa Ayaka. The 1st season aired in Jan. 2014, and after a lot of support an OAD was produced, as well.
The new key visual shows Hozuki lifting hell’s kettle lid, and as usual, it’s a bustling Hozuki no Reitetsu image. If you look closely you can also find new characters, Uzu and Yomogi. It’ll be exciting to find out who voices these two!
As for that exciting Jigoku no Sata All Stars and LINEbaito collaboration, apparently it’s to find out who’s singing the chorus for the new opening, and Saitou JxJx Jun of YOUR SONG IS GOOD is in charge of directing the planning.
Original fans will be given out on Aug. 6 at the Animate Ikebukuro shop in Tokyo, as well, in addition to an appearance by the mascot-like appearance of the snapdragon. A special Hozuki no Reitetsu Premium Box will also be on sale beginning on Nov. 22 with 6 special items inside!
