Gintama Author Tells Fans What to Look Out For in Live-Action Film!

The comical messages that Gintama author Sorachi Hideaki wrote in “Movie Gintama: Silver Memories Visual Book” have finally been revealed!

Earlier this month, a sneak peek of part of the message revealed that Sorachi was hoping fan turnout would propel the live-action film ahead of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Now, even fans who didn’t purchase the visual book can see what he had to say!

Sorachi starts off by stating, “By the time everyone gets this book, the movie will have already premiered. I think I’ll be chuckling to myself reading all the reviews saying how awesome I am, don’t you think?” (What a Gintama-esque statement!)

He goes on by thanking those who helped make the film and the awesome fans that went out of their way to see it. To show his appreciation, he lists 11 amusing things he recommends fans pay attention to while they’re flipping through the book.

Gintama readers probably won’t be surprised, but some of the recommendations are actually pretty weird! Sorachi listed paying special attention to Kagura/Hashimoto Kanna’s snot and vomit, as well as Gintoki/Oguri Shun’s jawline, of all things!

The book was already filled with enjoyable content, but we suspect those keeping Sorachi’s recommendations in mine will enjoy themselves just a bit more!
