The release date of the newest Dragon Ball Z film that was previously reported to be released during Golden Week 2015 has been confirmed along with the film’s official title. The movie’s title is Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F and it will release on April 18, 2015. A poster visual for the movie has also already been released. The inclusion of Frieza, aka the letter “F” in the movie’s title, will likely be a surprise to fans.
Early on in the movie, all the Dragon Balls are collected and the dragon is summoned to bring a character back to life. There has been much speculation as to who this character is, and we now know that character is Frieza.
In the center of the new visual is Frieza wrapped in an aura that looks like flames. Also in the visual are Goku and the other Z Fighters along with Beerus the god of destruction who was introduced in the previous film, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, and his associate Whis. There is no doubt that fans are curious to know just what kind of story will unfold among these characters. We’ll have to wait for the April 18, 2015 release for more information.
The start date for advance tickets was also announced along with the release date confirmation. Advance tickets that come with a bonus present will go on sale in theaters throughout Japan on Dec. 6. The present to be included with tickets is “Movie Edition - Akira Toriyama Super-Evolution Straps.” These are limited edition straps with an earphone jack attached that are based on newly created artwork drawn by author Akira Toriyama for the manga. The straps will come in two versions: Goku and Frieza. Goku is drawn wearing his new outfit seen in the poster visual instead of his usual outfit, and Frieza is shown throughout his evolutions, from the first to the fourth. Look forward to the start of advance ticket sales soon and the release of the film in 2015.
