Summary

Aho Girl: Clueless Girl is a slice-of-life shounen anime adaptation of the four-panel manga Aho Girl by manga creator Hiroyuki. The story follows energetic high schooler Yoshiko Hanabatake who lacks both academic and social smarts. Thankfully she has a couple of friends that keep her from making too much of a fool of herself.

Characters

Yoshiko Hanabatake

Main character Yoshiko loves bananas and is very energetic despite her constant failing at academic and social life.

Akuru Akutsu

Neighbor and childhood friends of Yoshiko, Akuru is a polar opposite of her. He is serious, smart, and prefers to spend his time studying above all other activities.

Sayaka Sumino

Classmate and friend of Akuru and Yoshiko, Sayaka is level-headed although she has been known to lose her patience and can be quite sensitive.

Public Morals Chairman

No one knows her name, but everyone knows she doesn’t like Yoshiko one bit. However, she does stalk and have lewd fantasies about Akuru. She’s unaware of her weird reputation.

Yoshie Hanabatake

Worryful mother of Yoshiko, Yoshie hope her daughter will marry Akuru and even purposefully creates opportunities for them to flirt which often are unsuccessful.

Dog

A dog both Yoshiko and Akuru like.

Ryuichi Kurosaki

A shy delinquent who sees Yoshiko as his big sister.

Atsuko Oshieda

Yoshiko’s homeroom teacher who tries her best to teach Yoshiko despite her efforts being fruitless. She is unhappily single.

Ruri Akutsu

Akuru’s little sister who hopes she won’t become as dumb as Yoshiko one day.

Akane Eimura

The leader of a trio of gyaru girls in Yoshiko’s class. She doesn’t like Yoshiko despite being as dumb as her.

Kii Hiiragi

Another gyaru girl in Yoshiko’s class.

Kuroko Shiina

Another gyaru girl in Yoshiko’s class and the only one of the three with a boyfriend whom she is shy about.
