Evangelion Shinkansen Train, Move Out!

A collaboration between Japan Rails West and the Evangelion franchise brings us the 500 Type EVA Project, a Shinkansen bullet train based off of the design of the Evangelion Unit 01! Set to start its run on November 7, 2015 until March 2017, the 500 Type EVA will run along the Sanyo Shinkansen Line which makes stops along the way between the Shin-Osaka station in Osaka, and the Hataka station in Fukuoka, Japan. The train will only make one round trip per day.
Interior wise- the seats will also be decked out in Evangelion style, including a simulation cockpit at the front of the first train car which will let fans have a chance to see a pilot’s view of the train, and enjoy Evangelion-themed minigames!
Limited-time promotions and merchandise between Evangelion and JR West to advertise the collaboration will also be running throughout the duration of this special project!
