The 16th theme song to the TV anime One Piece, “Hands Up!,” will go on sale on July 31. The song began being playing on-air on April 14, and since then fans have been awaiting its release on CD due to 17-year-old newcomer singer Kota Shinzato’s powerful singing voice and lyrics that match the world of One Piece.
In addition to the song’s popularity, for the first time in the history of One Piece theme song CDs, the first press editions of the CD will be released with different versions of the cover jacket (CD-only version) all done in the style of a comic book cover. There will also be nine different versions of the disc itself, each featuring an illustration of a different character. The nine versions are: Luffy, Zolo, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper & Trafalgar Law, Robin, Franky, and Brook. Each illustration has been specifically drawn for the CD.
Also, those who return the entry ticket included in each first press edition of the CD will receive an individually numbered, original art board that includes all nine CD label illustrations as a special gift.
The board is limited to only 3,000. Once this number is reached, boards not individually numbered will be given out. If you want one of these limited numbered pieces, make sure to get the CD and apply as soon as you can.
