It’s been more than 15 years since Kishimoto Masashi’s manga Naruto began its serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, and the newest production in the Live Spectacle Naruto series, Live Spectacle Naruto: Akatsuki no Shirabe, will be opening in May.
The third series of solo character visuals has also been released centered around the members of the titular powerful runaway ninja group Akatsuki featuring Hoshigaki Kisame, Deidara, and Tobi.
The Akatsuki have been popular since their appearance in the original manga, and Hoshigaki Kisame, also known as the Monster of the Hidden Mist and the partner of Itachi, will be played by the popular and talented Hayashino Takeshi. Deidara, the ninja from Iwagakure who possesses forbidden explosion techniques, will be played by Tsuji Ryo, the incredible performer and dancer. The mysterious new member who hides his face under a mask, Tobi, will be played by Katayama Hironori, known for his big and powerful performances on the stage.
We’ll have to wait and see what kind of darkness these performers bring to the stage!
