Held every year in the summer and winter, Comiket is the biggest doujinshi fair! It started small in 1975 with a mere 32 doujin circles and around 600 attendees. It gets bigger every year, though. The 2015 Natsucomi (Summer Comiket) had more than 550 thousand attendees!

There are 3 things visitors get to look forward to: amazing cosplay, rare goods that you can’t find anywhere else, and (of course) doujinshi from artists and doujin circles!

The gorgeous cosplay includes both fans and promotional cosplay, and some of the quality is out of this world~

The goods on sale are also a major part of what’s made this such a huge convention. Some are made by fans and artists, and others come from official retailers! Many of these items are limited edition and can’t be found or bought anywhere else.

The biggest thing, though, is doujinshi. Many artists and circles come to this event to sell their original works, as well as works inspired by popular series like Kantai Collection, Black Butler, and more!

See you next Comiket!
