1st Live-Action JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Film Teaser Released

The live-action film adaptation of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable has been a hot topic since it was announced the other day, and now a teaser has been released.

The clip is short at 15 seconds, and there aren’t any cuts from the film. In addition to clips from the planning and cast announcement event from Sept. 28, it flashes ‘Summer 2017,’ the planned time of release.

What really stands out, though, is the appearance of both Toho Studios’ and Warner Brothers Japan’s logos in succession.

This is the 1st time these companies have worked together on production and distribution. This will be an exciting challenge for each, leaders in the Japanese and western film industries respectively.

Filming is currently taking place in Sitges, Spain. Director Miike revealed excitedly, “Digital techniques are advancing, so I want to capture the fundamentals of the characters, costumes, and settings.”

There will also be filming in Japan as it progresses towards completion. We can’t wait to see what the finished movies and characters look like in the end!
