Tokyo Gets Co., Ltd. which plans and coordinates business promotions and events in Asia with anime and characters will be bringing the popular marathon event Hello Kitty Run to Vietnam for the first time through Hello Kitty Run Ho Chi Minh 2016! The event will be held in District 7 on Nov. 27.
Over 5,000 runners are expected to participate in Hello Kitty Run Ho Chi Minh 2016 on Nov. 27, and its theme will be “Happy Lucky Together.” Hello Kitty will be bringing luck to runners with a four-leaf clover motif.
Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd. will be guiding runners that day on Hello Kitty bikes, and runners will get to enjoy a Hello Kitty-colored 5-kilometer course. They will then receive a limited edition event medal. Hello Kitty will be running, as well, and cheering on the participants. There will also be a photo area, Hello Kitty booths, and other activities, so everyone from children to adults can enjoy the event.
Depending on when you purchase your ticket, it will cost between 380,000 VND and 500,000 VND (approx. Japanese yen: 1,800 to 2,300). There will also be special set tickets. All entrants will receive a race kit consisting of several original Hello Kitty goods including a T-shirt, bag, and cloth bib for their number. Applications opened on Sept. 23.
