On Oct. 7, Kyoto’s long-standing fragrance shop Shoyeido began selling Matsuno Family Scents and Matsuno Family Sachets which were also sold at the Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2016 at their company store.
These items were sold on Sept. 17 and 18 at the largest manga and anime trade fair in western Japan, Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair (Kyomaf) 2016. They were developed as a part of collaborations between Kyoto’s oldest businesses and popular manga and anime.
These are stick-type fragrances designed based on the anime Osomatsu-san. They’re given scents based on each character and have gentle scents that lightly fill the room.

Osomatsu: Sweet and showy mixed berries
Karamatsu: Cool and sexy marine
Choromatsu: Clean and calming green tea
Ichimatsu: Deep and calm violet
Jyushimatsu: Energetic grapefruit
Todomatsu: Lovely and sweet rose

These Matsuno Family Scents come in silk crepe pouches in colors based on each character. “Matsu” is written in gold in the center of each pouch. A deluxe cased version is also available featuring illustrations of each character and their number.
