JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Gets Live-Action Movie!

Toho Pictures and Warner Brothers held a press conference shrouded in mystery titled "Movie Production and Cast Announcement" on September 28, marking the first collaboration between the two industry giants. It was unveiled that the new hyped project would be a live-action movie adaptation of the popular manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.


Based on the fourth part of the original manga of the same title by Araki Hirohiko, the movie JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable will star Yamazaki Kento as Higashikata Jousuke. Popular actor Kamiki Ryunosuke will play Hirose Kouichi while Komatsu Nana will play Yamagishi Yukako. Other members of the popular cast include Okada Masaki as Nijimura Keichou, Makken Yuu as Nijimura Okuyasu, Yamada Takayuki as Katagiri Anjuurou and Iseya Yusuke as Kujo Jotaro. The movie will be directed by Miike Takashi of Terra Formers fame. Furthermore, Mizuki Arisa will play Josuke's mother and Kunimura Jun his grandfather.


It was also revealed that while the fictional town of Morioh from the manga is in Japan, filming will be based in Sitges, Spain. The movie is slated for Summer 2017.
