Free Planning Co., Ltd. (a company that develops Cool Japan consulting projects) is opening Japan's first ever Russian maid cafe, where each of the maids is a beautiful Russian cosplayer! A pre-opening party will be held on Oct. 1 before the cafe opens for business on Oct. 17.
The super popular Russian cosplayer Nastyan is the cafe manager, and all of the cafe's maids are gorgeous Russian otaku. Another thing that sets this maid cafe apart is that every item on its Russian menu is handmade by the maids!
The girls are using crowdfunding to raise funds for the cafe, and their fundraising effort has already received 72 pledges, reaching a total of over ¥2.8 million. On Oct. 2 and 9 they'll hold a food sampling session, and the cafe's opening party will take place on Oct. 16.

Popular anime and games like Kantai Collection and Girls und Panzer that feature Russian settings and Russian characters in lead roles are getting very popular. Since around 2012, beautiful Russian cosplayers have been capturing the hearts of fellow otaku, and since 2014, Japanese and Russian cosplayers have been enthusiastically cosplaying together. Each year more and more fans want to meet these extremely beautiful Russian cosplayers that they've heard so much about.
The maids of ItaCafe realised that if they had a cafe to work at as maids, it could be the holy land of extremely beautiful Russian cosplayers, attracting crowds of fans and becoming famous. This idea led to the creation of "the extremely beautiful Russian cosplayer maid cafe."
They plan to visit long-established maid cafes in Akihabara to conduct "Maid Cafe Training," learn about maid etiquette and hospitality, and get shown the ropes by the cafes' charismatic maids.
"Maid Cafe Training" is next on the agenda for ItaCafe. Serving customers in classic maid cafe fashion is a strong point of the ItaCafe maids. But by receiving guidance from maids at long-established Akihabara maid cafes, the ItaCafe maids will really get to grips with the etiquette that's unique to maid cafes.

The ItaCafe maid cafe run by extremely beautiful Russian cosplayers offers a Russian cafe menu, and everything is homemade by the cafe's maids. Alongside borscht and salads packed with red beets (the magical vegetable that's said to give you beautiful skin), the menu also features healthy baked piroshki. Piroshiki are traditionally baked, but fried piroshki is generally more popular in Japan. ItaCafe's healthy menu is sure to prove a hit with female customers.
