If you ever wished you could experience the world of Final Fantasy from the inside, now might be your chance! Gateway is contributing to the Square Enix e-Store Special Campaign with VR Gateway, an application for playing VR (virtual reality) contents. With this, users can dive into the world of Final Fantasy XV with a 360° view and watch the promotional video in virtual reality.
Square Enix e-Store Special Campaign
Campaign Contents:
Two presents are included in randomly selected delivery boxes for Square Enix e-Store purchases.
Presents:
- Special content to experience the world of Final Fantasy XV in VR (serial code)
- Knockdown “VR-Box” (made of paper)
Duration & Target Products:
All products delivered between July 26 (Tue.) and Sept. 30 (Fri.), 2016.
*Except for dowload products and some delivery products (such as tickets and security tokens)*
Special Content Viewing Period:
July 26 (Tue.) to Dec. 22 (Thu.), 2016 at 10:00 p.m.
In order to view the VR content, you need to install the VR Gateway application on your smartphone.

About VR Gateway
VR Gateway is an open application for browsing VR content downloaded from various sources (including company and EC sites) on smartphones. With more and more companies, creators, and content holders using the app to play their content, VR Gateway is on its way to becoming a widespread sharing app. If you would like to distribute your content through VR Gateway, please inquire first as content files need to be processed in order to play on VR Gateway.
VR Gateway Features
VR Gateway provides each user with a living space called a “Gate” as well as a navigator character sharing that space. You can choose commands by concentrating your gaze and enjoy VR content downloaded from various platforms.
In the future, users will be able to adjust their Gate and navigator character to their liking. Through the cooperation of various social media and utilizing smartphone functions to the maximum, VR Gateway aims to become a communication platform linking the Gates of separate users. Gateway is also planning on opening the Creators’ Store where users can purchase VR content, Gates, navigators, and other digital content provided by creators. Production specifications regarding the Creators’ Store are expected to be released soon.
