One of the most highly anticipated anime in Japan this summer season is Battery, which will begin broadcast on July 15. Based on the young adult novel series of the same name, the story has first been adapted into a manga in 2004. This new addition to the sports anime hall of fame is also getting a new manga series.

In celebration of the anime adaptation of Battery, the production committee has announced three exciting projects coming up. A life-sized figure is in the works, while fans can also look forward to the collaboration of the characters with a popular baseball smartphone game. Lastly, there's an ongoing contest in which fans can submit their names on the Battery official website and stand the chance to have their names called out by the main characters voiced by popular seiyuu Uchiyama Kouki and Hatanaka Tasuku.
