Kotobukiya is planning to release this November a 1/8 scale figure of Akatsuki from the TV anime Kantai Collection -KanColle-, which was broadcast in 2015 and has a highly expected theatrical movie on the way.
Akatsuki is a “full-fledged lady,” as she calls herself, which is shown in her composed expression and her polished way of posing. Her outfittings—shield, torpedo racks, and twin guns—are all jointed. Her hat can be taken off, too, and the hexagonal clear base allows for displaying her together with sister ships from the same class including Hibiki, Ikazuchi, Inazuma, and all ships from the 6th Destroyer Division.
A bonus “Tsk!” face part is included if purchased in Kotobukiya shops (Akihabara; Nipponbashi, Osaka; and the online shop).
