If you’re eggspecting to visit Japan for a little summer getaway, then you might want to drop by Osaka for a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Le Monde Des Gourmet Inc. will be running a limited-time theme that has everything to do and more with Sanrio’s explosively popular character Gudetama! Fans of the disgruntled egg-creature will be able to find all sorts of yummy and hilarious foods at CAFE Costa Mesa, a cafe largely inspired by the American West Coast - located in Namba Parks, which is south of Nankai Electric Railway’s Namba Station. Pop in between May 20th and August 31st, 2016, because after that, CAFE Costa Mesa will be heading back to business as usual.
Uh, the lazily whining egg Gudetama as a surfer?! Totally, dude~! This limited-time collaboration with the trendy and popular CAFE Costa Mesa isn’t steering away from the original theme of the American West Coast - surfer image and all. With Gudetama and this theme being mashed together, fans and regulars alike will be delighted to see a transformation on both the food and dessert menus, especially with limited-time items like “Eggs Benedict” and “Wipeout! Gude-Pancake~Sunshine Ver.~”.
And if that wasn’t exciting enough, there will be two different phases while the Gudetama x CAFE Costa Mesa is happening! The first is from May 20th to July 15, 2015, and the second is from July 16th to August 31st, 2016. Both will include different types of menu transformations featuring the unmotivated egg.
Visitors will be treated with the chance to take a totally radical picture with Gudetama inside the store, where there will also be special T-shirts up for sale that won’t be available after this collaboration ends.

They opened their doors for the first time in November 2013 and reside on the 4th floor of the Namba Parks complex.
