Director Kazuki Akane, Cast to Perform in Stage Greeting for Final Chapter of “Code Geass: Akito the Exiled”

Code Geass: Akito the Exiled began with an event screening in 2012, and now the finale is just around the corner. The final chapter, Itoshiki Monotachi e (To Beloved), will be released in 36 theaters throughout Japan on Saturday, Feb. 6. That same day, the director and cast will take the stage for a stage greeting. It’s also been revealed that those who attend will receive a mini illustration drawn just for the occasion by chief animation director Hidekazu Shimamura.

Code Geass: Akito the Exiled is a spin-off series set in the same world as Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. The stage has changed to the frontlines of the war in Europe and the story follows a new protagonist named Akito who fights against the Holy Britannian Empire. The first chapter was released in 2012. Itoshiki Monotachi e releasing on Feb. 6 is the fifth and final chapter.

Appearing on stage at the stage greeting to be held on the day the movie releases will be from the main cast Miyu Irino, Masaya Matsukaze, and Takuma Terashima, and from the staff side director Kazuki Akane and producer Yoshitaka Kawaguchi. Since this final chapter has been so long awaited, we can look forward to what they’ll talk about. Tickets are available now on the Shinjuku Wald 9 homepage and at the ticket counter. They cost 1,800 yen (including tax).

As a bonus, five types of mini illustrations will be given out to attendees. The illustrations were created just for the occasion by chief animation director Hidekazu Shimamura. The characters are beautifully drawn in color on them. They’re a bonus fans are sure to be happy about.

And don’t miss your chance to look back on chapters 1-4 ahead of the release of the final chapter. The movies can be viewed on Bandai Channel and on the live-streaming app LINELIVE. Chapters 1 and 2 are available now and chapters 3 and 4 will be available beginning at 22:00 on Feb. 5. This is the perfect chance to prepare for the final movie.
