The popular otome game, La Storia della Arcana Famiglia, will be adapted for the stage for the first time in January 2016. The title of this first stage play will be La Storia della Arcana Famiglia: Valentino. The cast for the theatrical adaptation, visuals, and original story have all now been unveiled, as have the pre- and post-play events.
In the La Storia della Arcana Famiglia: Valentino stage play, the leading role of Felicità will be played by actress Miyu Nakada. In the visual, Felicità’s iconic long twin tails are faithfully depicted. Voice actor Ryo Oshima will play Intelligence member Libertà. Seeing how Oshima, an experienced stage actor, will perform the role is sure to be a highlight of the production. In addition, Shoichiro Omi will play Nova, Kentaro Menjo will play Debito, Ryo Kobayashi will play Peace, Kento Kitamura will play Luca, and Ryohei Shioguchi will play Jolly, making a total of seven cast members announced. Detailed visuals right down to the hair colours and costumes have also been released.
The intriguing story involves the members of the Arcana Famiglia vigilante group appearing in the Regalo Island no 1. “Belissimo” (hot guy) contest “Arcana Bellissimo in Valentine.” As the winner will receive a kiss from Felicità, all the gang members suddenly want to have a go. However, there’s a mysterious figure observing them from the shadows. It looks set to be an enjoyable, tightly woven tale!
There will also be a pre-launch event on Dec. 21. The male cast from the stage show will be appearing to carry out a special project with the PS Vita version of the game about to be released on Dec. 23. Instructions for how to take part in the pre-event are available on the official website.
The show will host a special event on Jan. 21 right in time for Valentine’s Day as well. At the 6 p.m. performance only, there will be an after event where six theatergoers who’ve come dressed as Felicità (wearing any combination of black hair, necktie, white gloves, and knee high socks) will be randomly selected to receive a rose directly from the male cast members.
La Storia della Arcana Famiglia: Valentino will run for 10 performances only from Jan. 20–27, 2016 at the Owl Spot Theater in Tokyo. The second round of advance ticket sales started at 12 p.m. on Nov. 28.
