The original anime Anthem of the Heart (Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda) created by the staff behind Anohana will be released in Japan on Sept. 19. Coming before the roadshow release, a theater etiquette commercial for The Anthem of the Heart that teaches viewers about proper behavior for enjoying youth movies was posted online on Aug. 11. Anohana’s Menma (Meiko Honma) guides viewers through this unique commercial as the narrator.
In the commercial, Menma introduces four ways to best enjoy youth movies. The video has refreshing youthfulness and includes tips like “Invite someone you like and see it together” and “When you want to cry, cry.” Anohana’s Menma, voiced by Ai Kayano, is the narrator of the commercial. It also features plenty of scenes from the movie and hints at an intriguing story.
There will also be a collaboration between Anthem of the Heart and the Toho Cinemas exclusive original feature Anime Gatari. The short film, which will only screen during intermission at Toho Cinemas, will feature members of a university animation society introducing anime. Inori Minase is challenging himself with double roles this time as both Jun Naruse in Anthem of the Heart and main character Maya in this short film. Just what will this short film be? Look forward to seeing it in theaters. Screenings will begin at Toho Cinemas Shinjuku on Aug. 22.
In other news, a screening of the completed film will also be held on the outdoor stage in Chichibu Muse Park on Aug. 29. Staff and cast members will be onstage at the event, which means this will likely gather popularity for the film too. One thousand people will be chosen by raffle to attend through a campaign on the official site, the deadline to which is Aug. 16.
