Awesomely Stylish Visuals of Gintoki and Hijikata Released; “Gintama” Pop-Up Store Coming to Ikebukuro

The retail site SuperGroupies, which sells apparel and has held collaborations with many anime, is now holding a collaboration with the popular series Gintama. The company confirmed that a Gintama pop-up store is coming to Ikebukuro P’Parco.

The pop-up store will open for a limited time from Aug. 20–27. Ikebukuro P’Parco has held events for many anime and games to date. The store will include limited edition products for sale and visuals on display. Exclusive novelty items will also be given out.

Visuals were also prepared for the collaboration that show popular characters Gintoki Sakata and Hijikata Toshiro of the Shinsengumi. Dressed as the characters are Tadashi Harada and Tsuyoshi Takahashi. Harada is a member of the Shiseido Beauty Creation Research Center and previously gained acclaim for his 3D visuals of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Terra Formars. Takahashi is a stylist and creative director who has created advertisements for a wide range of genres beginning with JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure x Shiseido.

The products at the pop-up store will include items themed after the visuals of Gintoki and Hijikata. There will be sneakers, tote bags, wrist watches, knit caps, T-shirts, necklaces, and rings for each character. The necklaces will tickle the hearts of fans with their designs that are each themed after the characters’ favorite food: parfaits and mayonnaise. In SuperGroupies fashion, each has a stylish design that works well with everyday outfits.

If the store becomes too crowded, tickets will be allotted for entry. Tons of collaboration products have been lined up in addition to the awesomely stylish visuals the likes of which you don’t see often, so fans are sure to be happy about this news. Keep your eyes on Gintama for more developments to come.
