Soulful Singing Sensation Sachiko Kobayashi Is Finally Becoming a Vocaloid!

It has been revealed that the Vocaloid library named “Sachiko” produced based on the vocals of Enka singer Sachiko Kobayashi will be sold in advance as a download version. It will go on sale July 27 (Mon.) on the official Vocaloid store, Vocaloid Shop. The cost is 12,000 yen (plus tax).

Created so that the “the overwhelmingly soulful voice will lively sing the passion of creators,” users can recreate Kobayashi’s singing style using the software’s simple controls. Over 400 different kinds of voice material are included in the library, such as enthusiastic shouts and talking by Kobayashi herself.

Recreate Sachiko Kobayashi’s Soulful Voice!

Having celebrated 50 years as an entertainer in 2014, Sachiko Kobayashi is the premier Enka singer of Japan who has appeared 33 consecutive times on the yearly New Year’s Eve show NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. She is known far and wide for her exceedingly striking outfits and overwhelming vocal power.

Having participated in Japan’s largest doujinshi event, Comic Market, where she distributed a hugely popular mini album of Vocaloid song covers titled Sachi Sachi Nishite Ageru, Kobayashi has already successfully made her debut in the Vocaloid genre.

In an interview, Kobayashi stated, “I’ve covered Vocaloid songs previously, but now that anyone can take my voice and create a Vocaloid out if it, I feel like I’ve become Hatsune Miku. Please make this “Sachiko” sing all different kinds of music.”

Download sales for the Vocaloid library will begin on July 27, and demo songs are planned to be posted to the official site. A package version (price TBD) will be released in late August.
