Ota-Q Survey: What Japanese anime are you looking forward to for the summer season?

Just like that, we’ve passed the halfway point of 2015, and now we’re into July! Speaking of July, that means a new season of anime is about to begin! Have you figured out which anime you’ll be watching yet?

From June 25–29, Tokyo Otaku Mode (TOM) held an Ota-Q survey asking fans “What Japanese anime are you looking forward to for the summer season?” The results are in, so let’s take a look! Which summer anime are TOM fans from around the world looking forward to?

What Japanese anime are you looking forward to for the summer season?

Take a look, and you’ll see that at No. 1 is Durarara!!x2 Ten! This story is a sequel to Durarara!!x2 Sho which was broadcast earlier this year from January to March. Does this mean that everyone has been waiting anxiously for Celty and the gang to return? Just barely being edged out of first, God Eater comes in at No. 2. We’re so excited to find out how this popular game will develop as an anime!

Did the anime you vote for make the ranking? Of course, action was a popular genre on the ranking, but love comedies, school life anime, and even BL made the ranking too. It seems there are many anime drawing anticipation this season as well. Once again this summer, let’s all enjoy anime life to the fullest♪
