New PV for Attack on Titan: Part 2 compiles scenes from the movie; new cuts released
The June 27 release of Attack on Titan Part 2: Wings of Freedom has finally come, and a new promotional video has been released.
The PV features a compilation of uncut scenes and can be enjoyed just ahead of the movie. It also reveals for the first time the theme song by Linked Horizon, “The Price of Freedom,” and is a must see for fans.
The new PV is roughly three and a half minutes long, with about the first minute being an uncut scene from the movie. Scenes in which soldiers face off against Titans using their 3D Maneuver Gear are also included, showing that part 2 is just as intense.
A portion of the theme song specially created by Linked Horizon for the movie, “The Price of Freedom,” is also featured. The theme song includes some wonderful fanfare, like the content of the lyrics syncing up with footage from the movie. Look forward to the singing voices of these guys who expressed the world of Attack on Titan for the TV series.
In other news, the theme song “The Price of Freedom” was played on the radio in Japan for the first time on June 25 during Nippon Broadcasting’s Music and Comic!+. Though a release date for the CD single has yet to be determined, the song is available now on iTunes and Recochoku.
It has also been confirmed that there will be new cuts related to second 2 of the TV anime included in the ending of Attack on Titan Part 2: Wings of Freedom. With season 2 confirmed for sometime in 2016, it seems the Attack on Titan boom is nowhere near ending.
Attack on Titan originated from a manga of the same name by Hajime Isayama that is serialized in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. It was adapted into an anime in 2013 and gave rise to a phenomenon. The theatrical release of the live-action movie Attack on Titan is just around the corner on Aug. 1.
