New information has been announced on the anime Gangsta to be released in the summer of 2015. Firstly, the broadcast days have been officially decided. On July 2, broadcasting will start on Asahi Broadcasting. After that, there are plans to broadcast it on Tokyo MX and other networks, and to distribute it online. There has also been a key visual completed which includes many characters. It starts with Worick and Nicolas who will take any job as the two members of the group Benriya, and includes many characters with a peculiarity or two who come into play in the story.
Gangsta goes on air on Asahi Broadcasting on July 2. After that, it will be broadcast on Tokyo MX on the 5th, Television Aichi on the 6th, and BS11 on the 9th. It will also be distributed on Bandai Channel and Niconico Live.
Worick Arcangelo and Nicolas Brown are in the center of the key visual, and over 10 characters are drawn around them. The stage is set in Ergastulum with districts run by different mafia families. What kind of jobs will these two members of Benriya, existing in this city neutrally with no alignment, end up accepting? Worick is voiced by Junichi Suwabe, Nicolas by Kenjiro Tsuda, and Alex Benedetto, a prostitute they encounter, by Mamiko Noto. These wonderful voice actors coming together is also an exciting point.
The city has people with super-human abilities called Twilights, and also has the appeal of action. The director in charge is Shuukou Murase who also directed Witch Hunter Robin and Ergo Proxy. Gangsta is a manga by author Kohske, serialized in Gekkan Comic Bunch and published by Shinchosha. The seventh and latest volume is planned to go on sale on July 7. The drama CD has also become popular, and the fifth release will be available on July 24.
