A program will be held beginning in July at Sanrio Puroland that will bring excitement to summer! “Summer Festival in Sanrio Puroland,” which incorporates the themes of a temple fair and summer festival, will be held from July 18 to Aug. 31. Also on July 18 the new attraction “Sanrio Character Hills” will open.
Making their first appearances at this new attraction will be the hugely popular food characters, Kirimi-chan and Gudetama! Sanrio Character Hills is a walk-through attraction in which guests can experience the worlds of Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll, Kirimi-chan, and Gudetama.
Set on a hill where Sanrio characters gather, guests will be able to enjoy games and photo spots that incorporate the uniqueness of each character. At each photo spot, guests will literally be able to experience the character’s world by taking photos that look like they’re in a pot along with Kirimi-chan or in a dog pile with tons of Cinnamorolls. Guests can also take home commemorative photos to remember their fun experience.
There will also be games that exemplify each character’s personality too, including a game for Gudetama, Pompompurin, and others.
Being able to take photos in an atmosphere different from the norm together with Sanrio characters is but one of the charms you can only experience at Puroland. Recently, it seems many couples and friends can be seen taking selfies and commemorative photos at each spot inside Puroland.
With its enjoyable games and unique photo opportunities, Sanrio Character Hills is an attraction that firmly incorporates the dream of guests of “wanting to play to exhaustion in the characters’ worlds.”
In addition to the attraction, guests will be able to savor the flavors of Kirimi-chan and Gudetama with limited food items exclusive to Puroland that will also be available.
A Summer Festival at Puroland!
During “Summer Festival in Sanrio Puroland,” a character fair will be held on the first floor of Sanrio Town, at which will be a festival road lined with carts produced by Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters. In addition to original food menus exclusive to summer, it will also be a chance to meet characters who stop by the carts during the event. Also, at the game carts, points can be accumulated and exchanged for wonderful goods.
In Puro Village, the main area of Puroland, a parade that guests can participate in by singing and dancing along with characters titled “Summer Festival Marching Parade” will also be held. Popular characters participating in the parade include Hello Kitty, Mimi, Dear Daniel, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, and Pompompurin. A highlight will be a taiko drum performance by the characters! The enchanting feeling of summer will be stirred up by shouts of “Puro!” along with rhythmical music and dance.
In addition to all this, characters will also take part in a greeting in which they will appear in an item of clothing that goes hand in hand with summer: yukata. Even during summer, Puroland is the indoor theme park for having a relaxing time! Eat, play, and beat the summer heat!
