Non Non Biyori Repeat, the latest series of the popular anime will start airing from July. Dates and channels, and even the key visual were revealed. In addition, Hotaru Ichijo, one of the heroines, celebrated her birthday on May 28.
Non Non Biyori is a comedy manga by Atto that is being serialized in Monthly Comic Alive. It started in 2009 and eight volumes have been published since, with a total of more than 1.2 million copies sold, attesting to its popularity. It was adapted into a TV anime in 2013, the first season aired from October to December. Its light contents earned it a good reputation, leading to the airing of a second season beginning in July.
Continuing from the first season, Shinya Kawatsura is directing the series, while Reiko Yoshida, known for the scripts of Ojamajo Doremi and K-On!, is taking series composition into her hands again. Mai Otsuka, known for her work on Wish Upon the Pleiades and Shakugan no Shana, is taking on character design. Silver Link is responsible for animation production.
The second PV was released on May 25, and amid the mounting expectations, the key visual and the broadcasting channels were revealed. The key visual depicts Renge Miyauchi, Hotaru Ichijo, Natsumi Koshigaya, and Komari Koshigaya having a fun time walking among thickly growing trees. The series will broadcast on four channels: TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, and AT-X, with TV Tokyo being the earliest from July 6 (Mon.).
A web radio broadcast was also decided on, and more details will be revealed at a later date. The opening was announced as “Kodama Kotodama” by nano.RIPE, while the ending will be “Okaeri,” sung by the four main characters.
A lot of information was revealed regarding the broadcast of the series as well, so there are bulging expectations among fans who soothed their hearts with Non Non Biyori. We are looking forward to follow-ups.
