An anime adaptation based on the entertainment bar Kaiju Sakaba has been confirmed.
Kaiju Sakaba (Monster Bar) is an entertainment bar that opened its doors in front of the train station in Kawasaki Ekimae, Kawasaki in March 2014, with the concept of “a bar where Ultra Monsters, who sometimes put up a good fight with the Ultra Heroes and sometimes get beaten to a pulp by them, reveal their kindness night after night, restore their energy, and make some evil plans for tomorrow.” In April 2015, it was upgraded into Kaette Kita Kaiju Sakaba (The Returned Monster Bar). It also expanded its influence to the west, with Ganso Kaiju Sakaba (Pioneer Monster Bar) open in Nanba, Osaka.
According to the recent announcement, the anime will be titled Kaiju Sakaba Kanpai!, and it will be produced by DLE, the studio that created Eagle Talon. There will be 13 three-minute-long episodes broadcast.
It will be a chill short anime in which the Ultra Monsters gather night after night babbling over drinks to wash away the fatigues and stress of the day. Kaiju Sakaba will be managed by Baltan, just like the real bar. Dada and Kanegon will be shop clerks. The regular guests will include Red King, Eleking, Gomora, Gudon, Zetton, King Joe, and Twin Tail. Pigmon will be working part-time.
The show will start broadcasting on July 7 on Tokyo MX and July 9 on BS11. It will be distributed on Bandai Channel among others.
