Various projects are being held for the “Naruto New Era Opening Project,” including stage events and exhibitions, with its culmination being the theatrical Boruto: Naruto the Movie, set to release on Aug. 7. The movie is gathering a great deal of attention, and now its main cast was revealed: Naruto’s son Boruto and Sasuke’s daughter Sarada.

Naruto and Hinata’s son, Boruto Uzumaki will be played by voice actor Yuuko Sanpei, who gathered popularity with her roles of Seita in Gintama and Gilbert in Majin Bone. Meanwhile, Kokoro Kikuchi, a talented young voice actor appearing in many titles including HeartCatch PreCure! as Potpourri and Mainichi Kaasan as Chii-kun, was chosen for the role of Sarada Uchiha, the daughter of Sasuke and Sakura and also a classmate of Boruto’s.

We also know that Naruto (CV: Junko Takeuchi) and Sasuke (CV: Noriaki Sugiyama) will also be making an appearance in this movie, and the two pairs of father and child will be starring together.

By the way, Naruto’s CV, Junko Takeuchi, and Boruto’s CV, Yuuko Sanpei, also played together in the TV anime Yes! PreCure 5, and fans are anxious to see what kind of dialogues they will have as father and son in this upcoming movie.

In addition, a cut from the movie was released prior to its theatrical release that shows the grown-up-looking Naruto and Sasuke, and although some of their childishness still remains, you can see strength in Boruto and Sarada's eyes. What kind of story these four will draw and what kind of action will they show is one of the most anticipated parts of this movie.

The Last: Naruto the Movie was released on Dec. 6, 2014 as part of the “Naruto New Era Opening Project,” grossing an unprecedented box office earning of ¥1.98 million (as of March 31, 2015).

In addition, the Tokyo performance of the stage play Live Spectacle Naruto ended in great success, and is planned to go on triumph performances in Osaka, Miyagi, Tokyo, and even a world tour in the future.

The Naruto series is never short in attention, as also seen at the “Serialization Conclusion Commemoration: Masashi Kishimoto Naruto Exhibition,” opening April 25. As the last part of this project, Boruto: Naruto the Movie is a piece fans can’t miss out on.

Now, with the announcement of the voice actors, comments from Yuuko Sanpei and Kokoro Kikuchi were also released. Reading their feelings toward the movie will surely make your expectations even higher!

Comment from Yuuko Sanpei (Boruto Uzumaki):
" Naruto was one of those titles that would naturally be there when you opened Jump. Being able to participate as a member of the family of something so wanted and loved by everyone makes me happy. The mightiness of this series. the greatness of the father, it’s such a great pleasure for me. I still haven’t entirely realized that I’m playing Boruto. What did Boruto feel growing up? What’s his way of the ninja? I think I have to find the Boruto who is the Hokage’s son, but also more than that. As a fan, I’m super excited to see what kind of story will unfold. I will work my hardest to become a part of Naruto."

Comment from Kokoro Kikuchi (Sarada Uchiha):
"I remember thinking, 'Oh, it’s Naruto!' in my high school years when my classmates would bring comics to school. It’s really nothing, but I kept remembering it nevertheless. To think that 15 years after that, I would become involved in it… I am deeply moved. I also thought it was wonderful that this is the first movie in which Kishimoto-sensei is supervising production. A little malicious and a little sarcastic, but also hard-working, honest, and cute… I want to express each of Sarada’s feelings to the fullest. What kind of story the movie Boruto will have, what characters will be appearing - there are many things to look forward to. I would be happy if I could enjoy it together with everyone!!"
