Do You Love Heroes So Much You Can Hardly Stand It?!

Kazuhiko Shimamoto’s Hero Company, the popular Monthly Hero’s manga, is to become an anime

It was announced in the May 2015 issue of Monthly Hero’s, which went on sale April 1, that Kazuhiko Shimamoto’s Hero Company manga is to be adapted as an anime OVA. Hero Company is one of Monthly Hero’s most popular currently running manga series.

The eighth tankobon volume will be released in the fall of 2015 at which time an original anime DVD bundle edition will also be available - an announcement which has come as a surprise to fans.

Hero Company is a real hero story from the pen of Kazuhiko Shimamoto who is well known for works such as Aoi Honoo and Honoo no Tenkousei. Hero Company is a business which protects people around the world from various incidents and disasters - starting with the protagonist Ginga Amano, the activities of this comical gang of heroes unfold.

A promotional video of about 2 minutes, 30 seconds was made in 2013, but this is really the first time it’s become a fully fledged anime. The well-established Tatsunoko Production, who’ve made so many superhero anime series beginning with Gatchaman, were responsible for the PV which has proved so popular. With details about the staff and cast for this original animation remaining unclear, this is one announcement which has fans in high anticipation for the latest news.

A special extra edition of Hero Company was published in the May 2015 issue of Monthly Hero’s in commemoration of the anime adaptation. The seventh tankobon volume is scheduled for release on April 4, 2015.

In addition, a new series, Voice Cussion, is also set to begin. This first story about real voice actors in Monthly Hero’s is not to be missed! The May edition of the magazine also comes with the fourth in the “Technicolor Tsuburaya All Stars” series of posters paying tribute to special effects studio Tsuburaya Productions designed by some of its illustrator fans, and this month it’s the turn of Nobunagun’s Masato Hisa.

Monthly Hero’s was launched on Nov. 1, 2011. From Ultraman which has sold over 1.5 million copies, to the prequel telling the story up until the birth of Astro Boy––*Atom the Beginning*––among many others, Monthly Hero’s is a magazine which brings together heroes from all genres.
