New K anime visuals show members of Scepter 4; official season 2 site opens
The TV anime K has been rapidly gaining popularity and the second season has been confirmed for broadcasting beginning fall 2015. In February, a promotional video for the anime was released that excited fans with the appearance of the “Blue King,” Reisi Munakata. This has now been followed by the release of new key visuals and a new PV. These may offer clues to the story of season 2 that has been kept mostly under wraps until now, so they will likely draw attention to the series once again.
The two newly released key visuals are an interesting place to start. They depict the eight members of the clan Scepter 4. Given that the first PV also focused on Reisi Munakata, we can guess that Scepter 4 will continue to play a pivotal role in the series in season 2.
In other news, the official site for season 2 of the anime K also launched on March 11. Information on the anime thus far had come from the official K site, and this has started anew on the new site. The newest PVs have also begun being released on the official site, in which the previous “Red King,” Mikoto Suoh, is shown. It’s a good idea to watch it since it’s probable he’ll have a major role in season 2. We can expect more information to come from the official site. K is a drama set in modern day Tokyo between people with supernatural powers gathered under seven kings. Its wonderful characters abundant in personality are its secret to success. The series caught fire after the broadcast of the first TV anime from October to December 2012, and the movie K: Missing Kings was released in July 2014. Season 2 will continue the story, and interest is raising from fans over how the new story will develop.
