It has been revealed that Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F, set to release on April 18, will be screened in 4DX Digital Theaters. Moviegoers at Cinema Sunshine Heiwajima, United Cinema Toyosu, and other theaters will be able to enjoy a moviegoing experience loaded with attraction-type effects.

4DX Digital Theaters are equipped with technology that matches the scenes on screen with various effects for an enjoyable full sensory experience. The seats––which move up, down, left, and right, vibrate, have a back poker, and more––convey intense battle scenes. During storm scenes, there are sprays of water, wind, and other effects that immerse moviegoers. Because of its special effects that normal theaters don’t have, 4DX is a system that pulls moviegoers into the film unlike anything else.

The 19th film in the Dragon Ball franchise, Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F, features a story in which Emperor Frieza returns to battle Goku and the gang. Fans will likely become even more immersed in the film’s world by enjoying the film’s promising battle scenes in 4DX.

Leading the way for anime in terms of 4DX screenings was the film Attack on Titan Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow. Similar to Attack on Titan, a highlight of Dragon Ball is its intense action scenes, and because of this, this announcement will heighten anticipation for its roadshow release. 4DX screens are located in 10 theaters across Japan including Tokyo, Aichi, and Fukuoka.

Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F is the first film in the franchise in nearly two years with the last being 2013’s Battle of Gods. Series author Akira Toriyama is writing the film. Lined up for the theme song is female idol group Momoiro Clover Z, and Maximum the Hormone will be providing battle music.
