The channels to broadcast the new April 2015 TV anime Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches have been confirmed. The anime will be broadcast on Tokyo MX, Yomiuri TV, TV Aichi, TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting, TV Hokkaido, and Nishinippon Broadcasting among others. Also, an advance screening of Episode 1 will be held at Cinemart Shinjuku on March 14. A talk show will also be held at the event with the anime’s staff and cast.
Making stage appearances at the screening event will be Ryota Osaka (voice of Ryu Yamada) and Saori Hayami (voice of Urara Shiraishi). Director Seiki Takuno and series author Miki Yoshikawa will also be on stage to talk about the series. Advance tickets to the event will go on sale at noon on Feb. 11. General sales will begin at noon on March 1. Tickets cost 2,000 yen (tax included).
Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches is a popular school comedy currently serializing in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha). The series was adapted into a TV drama in 2013 and became a hit, with over 2.5 million copies in print. Now the TV anime long awaited by fans is on the way.
Directing the anime is Seiki Takuno. He began working on the series with the OAD released in 2014. The series composer and writer is Michiko Yokote, the character designer in Eriko Iida, and producing the animation is Liden Films, which also produced Aiura and The Heroic Legend of Arslan.
