Psycho-Pass: The Movie was just released on Jan. 9, and it’s off to a good start. It’s now releasing collaboration ramen with Takumen.com, a popular ramen site. The “collabo-ramen” is being sold at six ramen shops in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hokkaido.
Psycho-Pass has been gathering a great deal of attention lately with the conclusion of its second season at the end of 2014 and the release of the movie on Jan. 9. There are also various events such as bringing the Sibyl System to life, and the recent announcement of the collabo-ramen that help make sure Psycho-Pass gets its due attention.
The collabo-ramen is available at six restaurants: Ramen Moto Hajime’s Jujo and Hasune shops and Teuchi Goku Futomen Johnny no Miso in Tokyo, Ramen Style Junk Story in Osaka, Kyoto Saiin Nibojiro in Kyoto, and Tsunatori Monogatari in Hokkaido.
The characters on the cards presented with the collaboration meals and the ramen offered is different in each shop. Also, the names of the ramen, such as “Hue Gradation Type Miso” or “Akane-chan Shrimp Ramen,” all have a taste of Psycho-Pass to them.
One among these dishes, “Paralyzer Miso Mala Noodles,” is being sold only in a limited number on Takumen.com; the orders are for a two-bowl set. The ramen is sold at Ramen Moto Hajime, a place famous for their salty ramen, and its a kind of “jet-black miso ramen so spicy it makes your mouth numb.” They use a super hot miso sauce colored with bamboo charcoal to create the image of the black Hue in Psycho-Pass.
Those who order this dish get presented with a special set of a card featuring Nicholas Wong from the movie and a pair of chopsticks. That’s not all: There is also a campaign in scope of which 10 people selected through lottery will receive a seven-piece set of the original postcards that come with the collabo-ramen. A limited number of 200 bowls are being sold in 100 sets. Shipping starts around mid-February.
