Fans Choose One Piece “Tears” Best 10!! - Sea of Survival Supernova Edition - I, a careful selection of moving scenes from One Piece, was published on Dec. 1. With the release of II soon to follow on Dec. 15, fans will be able to thoroughly enjoy popular chapters of this national treasure.
Popular chapters were selected for Fans Choose One Piece “Tears” Best 10!! - Sea of Survival Supernova Edition based on surveys taken in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) between September and November. I, released on Dec. 1, includes the best 10 from Chapters 1-303 (East Blue to Sky Island arcs). Scenes that ranked in include the scene where the Straw Hat Pirates bond with Vivi, the scene where Shanks entrusts his straw hat to Luffy and others for a full set of popular scenes you can’t read without shedding tears.
The prefatory part of the book is a “Wailing Interview” with One Piece fans and famous AKB48 members Minami Takahashi and Yuria Kizaki, who both speak their minds frankly about the series, with Takahashi saying, “There are so many times when I’m crying way too much and can’t read the words!”, and Kizaki saying, “In my opinion, One Piece is a textbook on life” - both comments that are fully loaded with their love of the series.
In II to release on Dec. 15 is a compilation of the best 10 from Chapters 304-597 (Water 7 to Summit War arcs). Fans can look forward to such scenes as Ace’s final scene and the scene where Zoro sacrifices his body to shield Luffy.
The prefatory section of this book will be an interview with Hide, who seldom appears in media, from the music group GReeeeN and 92-san. The interview is crammed with passionate comments from Hide and 92-san including “I’m jealous of those who aren’t reading One Piece. Because now they can experience those emotions!” and “Everything important to people is depicted!”, respectively.
