Earth Music & Ecology Japan Label has developed collaborations again this year with countless manga and anime including Daytime Shooting Star, Yowamushi Pedal, Ao Haru Ride, and Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea. Now, the label is releasing items themed after the everyday clothes worn by the five magical girls in the movie Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion released in October 2013. Thirty different items in total will release countrywide on Nov. 29 in Earth Music & Ecology stores and on the online store Cross Collection. Staff members from MadoMagi were in charge of the collaboration visuals, which were created by Etsuko Sumimoto and supervised by Junichiro Taniguchi. The clothes match each character’s personality and air.
Themed after Madoka Kaname is a matching coordination of a pink Kyubey jacquard print knit pullover (4,900 JPY, tax not included) that has an air of her outfit after transforming and a tulle skirt embroidered with Grief Seeds. The heart-shaped necklace and mini bag add to this cute look.
The coordinated outfit themed after Homura Akemi has a unique look with a diamond-patterned knit pullover (5,800 JPY, tax not included). This lineup also includes a frilly skirt with embroidered Soul Gems on it as well as bags, pouches, and other accessories with a tin soldier silhouette on them. The added adult feel of the outfit thanks to it being monotone will likely make this bold and chic outfit popular.
Mami Tomoe’s coordinated outfit looks girly with a lace one piece (7,800 JPY, tax included) embroidered with flower designs themed after hair ornaments. This is a relaxed combination consisting of a camel-colored one piece and a cardigan with a checkered design and Bebe peeking out of the pocket. The outfit, including the hat and socks, is themed on Mami’s after-transformation outfit. Fans who complete this six-item set that also includes a necklace and bag are likely to appear left and right…
The coordinated outfit themed after Sayaka Miki combines a pullover with a print of the crest of the Law of Cycles (4,900 JPY, tax included) and a hooded jacket with a shirt that has Sayaka’s hair ornament symbol on the collar. The pants have an image of Sayaka’s Soul Gem on the brand label. This outfit is best for those who like looking chic but casual.
Kyoko Sakura and apples go hand in hand, and this comes through even in Japan Label’s items including a Cowichan knit sweater (12,600 JPY, tax included) cutely designed with a jacquard print. This tomboyish combination includes a checkered shirt and overalls with stitching in the design of Kyoko’s Soul Gem. This set also includes a velour ribbon hair accessory with an apple charm attached and a necklace too, so fans will want to check these out.
Japan Label’s MadoMagi-coordinated outfits are likely to capture the hearts of girls who want to dress in the same everyday clothes the magical girls wear.
