It seems the huge hit work Assassination Classroom serializing in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) will cause a whirlwind in 2015. The start of the broadcast of the TV anime series is set for Jan. 9, and a live-action movie will release countrywide in Japan on March 21. These two projects will be picking up attention from here on.
Among these, visuals from the TV anime have been revealed. On Nov. 9 during Jump Special Anime Festa 2014 at Makuhari Messe, the original episode “Episode 0: Time of Encounter” was screened for the first time and fans were swept away. Distribution of the newest PV titled “Class 3-E! Koro-sensei!” has also begun on the official site.
“Episode 0: Time of Encounter” is being screened at Jump Special Anime Festa 2014 in six cities total around Japan beginning with Tokyo. The episode depicts the first time Koro-sensei and Tadaomi Karasuma––voiced by Jun Fukuyama and Tomokazu Sugita, respectively––meet. This is an original story you can’t even find in the manga.
The superbeing Koro-sensei declares that he will destroy the earth next March if Tadaomi can’t assassinate him before then, with his speech gradually becoming more grandiose. The episode’s highlight is the battle between Koro-sensei and Tadaomi.
In other news, the newest PV is packed with visuals from the Assassination Classroom anime to begin on Jan. 9. This is the first time we are able to see Koro-sensei and the students of Class 3-E move. Within the introduction to Koro-sensei’s three characteristics given by the students, we are shown a humorously moving Koro-sensei and the students trying to assassinate him in the middle of class. This PV is also being broadcast as a TV commercial.
Assassination Classroom is a work by Yusei Matsui that depicts the fight between Koro-sensei, who declares that he will destroy the earth next March and gets put in charge of a third-year middle school class of degenerates called “End Class,” and the students who are burdened with the mission of assassinating him. The series is a huge hit with more than 11 million copies in print. The TV broadcast will begin on Jan. 9, 2014 and air every Friday night at 25:20 on Fuji TV. It is also planned to broadcast on Kansai TV, Tokai TV, and BS Fuji.
