LiSA Sings “Crossing Field” in English, Song Included on Seventh SAO Single

A new song to be included on Shirushi, the seventh single for artist LiSA who has rapidly grown since her debut in 2011, has been revealed. In addition to the talked-about ending theme to the “Mother’s Rosario” arc of the TV anime Sword Art Online II, the song “No More Time Machine” will be included on this single to release on Dec. 10.

“No More Time Machine” is the ending theme to the “Caliber” arc of Sword Art Online II. Two Sword Art Online II themes sung by LiSA will now be on one disc.

There is even more good news for fans. Both the first-press limited edition and regular edition of Shirushi will include a third song: an English version of “Crossing Field,” LiSA’s second single that was released in 2012. This song was a huge hit for LiSA and served as the opening theme to the “Aincrad” arc of Sword Art Online. All three of the songs on the CD are related to Sword Art Online.

Even though it has been more than two years since the release of “Crossing Field,” downloads of the song continue to climb both within Japan and abroad. Current downloads for the song worldwide are at over 340,000. LiSA is popular not just in Japan, but all over the world. Sword Art Online is also an especially popular series overseas. The English version of “Crossing Field” will likely draw attention from overseas fans.

Three versions of Shirushi will be released: a first-press limited edition, limited edition, and regular edition. The first-press limited edition will include a DVD with a music clip of “Shirushi” and a 16-page booklet of exclusive photos. The limited edition will include a mini poster illustrated just for the occasion, a sleeve case making use of a separate illustration drawn for the occasion, and a DVD featuring the non-credit ending video to Sword Art Online II. Just in time for the broadcast start date for the “Caliber” arc of Sword Art Online II on Oct. 18, distribution of “No More Time Machine - TV Ver.” has also begun.
