For a limited time from Oct. 25 to Nov. 24, a collaboration cafe called Drawing Spot Pixiv Cafeteria that will have menu items themed after art actually submitted to Pixiv will open in Roppongi Hills Tokyo City View at the Pixiv-sponsored exhibit event “Pixiv Festival - The Fun of Drawing.”
The space was designed by Team Lab, which is active on the cutting edge of media art. For the Draw Cafe in Roppongi Hills Tokyo City View, Team Lab reproduced the interior design they created for Pixiv’s head office. At the cafe will be “Fluffy Chick Parfait,” “Strawberries on Rice,” and other popular works submitted to Pixiv by users recreated as original food items. Also, the tables in the cafe can be drawn on, and there will be an area where guests can try out the latest pen tablets and analog tools.
